The Elkins Fish and Game Club, in conjunction with the National Shooting Sports Foundation, conducts the "First Shots" event. This is a free event, intended for children (8 and over) and adults who have never used a firearm before and are interested in learning about the shooting sports. We will supply everything you need (rifles, ammo, eye & ear protection, targets, and NRA Certified Instructors). All you need to do is bring a desire to learn.
We are holding two NSSF events this year.
The first event, First Shots, will be held on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2013, rain or shine.
The second event, First Shots Second Round, will be held on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2013, rain or shine.
The First Shots event is for folks who are not familiar with firearms and would like to learn about their safe use and to try shooting for the first time.
The First Shots Second Round event is for folks who are novice shooters that would like to learn more and improve their firearms skills.
There will be two sessions for each of these events. One at 10:00 AM and the other at 1:00 PM.
Registration is required. There is a limit of 16 new shooters per session, so early registration is recommended.

Directions to range:
Take RTE 89 to Exit 11. Go toward Andover.
(from SOUTH, turn RIGHT onto King Hill Road
or from NORTH, turn LEFT onto King Hill Road.)
Go approx. 4 miles and turn RIGHT onto Joy Farm Road.
(just past Walker Automotive)
Go approx. 1/3 mile on Joy Farm Road to the "T".
Turn RIGHT and go approx. 1/2 mile.
Our range is on the left at 189 Pine Hill Road.
Parking will be marked, farther up the road.
